Early viability scan.

Most hospitals will offer a dating and viability scan from 11 weeks. The early viability scan is offered from 6 weeks and will aim to demonstrate the site of the pregnancy and identify the fetal heart beat.

Detailed 20 week scan.

Routinely offered in NHS hospitals in England the detailed 20 week scan examines the anatomy of the baby. In addition our scan includes a more detailed examination of the fetal heart (echocardiography). Fetal sexing is included if wished; a DVD of the scan and 2D/4D images.

Fetal Wellbeing

This scan can be arranged at any time but is usually performed after 24 weeks. The scan will measure and chart the growth of the baby, identify the amount of fluid around the baby and the position of the placenta. The blood flow between the placenta and cord will also be assessed using ultrasound Doppler.
